I believe that “failure is temporary, but giving up is permanent”
As of February 2012, I am 26 years old, married, and a first year medical student. I am working hard to becoming the kind of person that I want to be. I want to help people achieve healthy fulfilling lives and I want to be healthy myself, so that I may serve as a role model. This is why I am in medical school and this is why I became a beachbody coach.
Being healthy is a process for me. I have been from a BMI of 19 to 26 and back again. I have had kidney stones, been diagnosed as pre-diabetic and had major digestive problems. And I am only 26 years old.
Today I am taking life one day at a time – incorporating vegetables into my life and finding the time to exercise regularly. I am living a delightful life of love and happiness and learning to take the challenges as they come. I am far from perfect, and have many lifestyle changes still to make – but I am improving.
I am currently splitting my exercise time between Insanity, Body Pump, and running (on days where it gets above 40 degrees in Chicago). I am drinking shakeology for quick and easy LARGE quantities of vitamins, renewed energy, and improved digestion. I am finding new healthy recipes through pinterest and all the dozens of healthy bloggers I have met on twitter. I am making changes.
At some point we have to start making the change and stop making excuses. I hit that point – have you?
