It was a sad day for me when I finished all of my Mara’s Pasta. Being a medical student has its financial limitations. Especially since my hubby and I are trying so hard to finance a second car. With him starting a PhD program in addition to his full time position at the church, we are both just incredibly busy and sharing a car has some significant limitations. But I digress.

I saw today on Mara’s facebook page that they are doing yet another giveaway if you take a picture of yourself in front of their display at local retailers. So of course, I hopped over quickly to the Mara’s Pasta webpage to see if there was a local place nearby! Unfortunately, they have yet to come to the Chicago area. In fact the closest place, clive IA, is about 6 hours away. dangit!!! but I’ll keep checking back. I mean, if I could buy a single box off the shelf, than maybe I could splurge every once awhile and get my $4.75 box of pasta. When you order online you have to buy a minimum of 3 boxes. And I think my husband would laugh at me if I asked to spend 15 dollars for three boxes of pasta.

But Mara’s pasta is some of the best pasta I have EVER had.

While looking at their website though I did discover something else amazing.

Butternut Squash Pasta Recipe? YES PLEASE! I love all things butternut squash. butternut squash soup, butternut squash raviolis, butternut squash casseroles. you name it! But I have yet to make a butternut squash pasta. Definately going to be on my list of things to make in the near future!
