Physical Therapy, Shakeology, and… Pizza?
Last night I made the best shakeology smoothie I have EVER made. and considering I drink these 5-6 days a week, that’s saying a lot. Not sure what I did differently. I know I used more ice (4 cubes instead of 2) and perhaps a bit more orange juice (I didn’t use a measuring cup this time). And the consistency was incredible. There wasn’t even any graniness with the smoothie. Usually the tropical strawberry shakeology flavor is still a big grainy. but not this time. Isn’t she pretty?
Approximately 1/2 cup pomegranate juice, 1/2 cup orange juice, 1/4 cup rasberries, 1/2 cup peaches,

1 scoop strawberry tropical shakeology and 4 ice cubes. The orange juice I added last and added enough to make sure all the fruit was submerged.
On other notes. Yesterday was just all around a great productive day. I decided, despite the fact I can’t do any serious cardio (running, Insanity) or squats/lunges – I CAN do all the upper body strength associated of the Les Mills Pump video. Biceps, Triceps, Shoulders, Chest, and Abs. Only burned 134 calories in 30 minutes (I burn a LOT more in the squats/lunges/back tracks) but it felt good to DO something.
Upper Body of Les Mills Pump Revolution DVD
*All weights are the total added to the bar*
Biceps: 10 pounds (same I used 3 weeks ago)
Chest: 10 pounds (I did 15 3 weeks ago)
Triceps: 10 pounds (same I used 3 weeks ago – these were excruciatingly hard but I DID it)
Shoulders: 5/3 pound free weights, 5 pounds on bar. I can’t do any push ups on my knee (obviously), so I just did as many regular push ups as I can, at a slower pace.
Abs: 5 pound weight

I also tried a bit of the Brazil Butt Lifts High & Tight video too. I figured many of the exercises were similar to what I was doing in physical therapy. But I decided it was actually quite different and I didn’t get very far. I’m just nervous doing new exercises, not because they hurt but because I’m afraid of screwing something up… I ended up just going back to my normal physical therapy exercises for my knee.

And for lunch? I had pizza. Mmmm pizza. My husband and I got a groupon yesterday. So it was super cheap and delicious. I got mine with black olives, bell peppers and onions. Lots of veggies. My favorite veggies on a pizza in fact. I could eat it every day, if it wasn’t so terrible for you of course. Everybody has to have some pizza sometimes!
