Today’s Workout Left Me Feeling Exerted
Today marked day 1, week 2 of Les Mills Pump. As I have indicated previously, I skipped the first phase of the program and started week 1 with phase 2 of the program. So today I did:
- Pump & Burn Video:
- 34:46 | 197 Calories | avg hr 129 | max hr 171
- 3.5 Mile Run*:
- HRM STATS: (includes walk/cool down) | 44:07 | 455 calories | avg hr 179 | max hr 189
- Nike + STATS: (only includes running time) | 37:00 | 10:46 min/mile | 3.44 miles
Thus I totaled 79 minutes of exercise and 652 calories burned. Not bad for a days work
*My goal while running these days is to increase my distance, thus it is important that I know exactly how far I actualy RAN, not how far I went total (run/ walk cooldown). Thus I let my HRM run from start to finish – but I only let my NIKE+ run while I am physically running. I pause it if I break to walk and stop it before my cooldown.
I decided not to do the Les Mills Ab video, also on today’s list, because I think 652 calories is enough for one day and I did get a bit of abs in the Pump & Burn video and a general core workout with the run. Also – I don’t really have time for an additional 20 minutes with finals next week!
