Injured Knee and a Vote of Confidence
Hello Everyone!
For those of you who follow my facebook page, you may have heard that this past Friday I dislocated my knee – which puts both of fitness goals on hold. I had just about made it through week two of Les Mills Pump, and had lost 2 pounds and increased the weight used in my exercises and thus built muscle. I had also increased my running mileage from a comfortable 2 miles to a comfortable 3.5-4 miles. Sadly I will not be able to do either in the foreseeable future.
The injurty occurred Friday night and I left Saturday morning to attend a wedding in New Mexico for a friend I have known since I was about 8 years old. I am currently on crutches and was told to not put any weight on the knee till I could follow up with an orthapedic physician – which I will be doing later this afternoon and then I will have more information.
In the meantime, I am prepping for my two final exams this week – thus marking the completion of my first year of medical school!
Anyone have any suggestions for exercises I can do in a chair? or anything that just doesn’t use my knee or require me to move my legs? LEAVE ME A COMMENT!
