7 Knee Physical Therapy Exercises

I am actually writing this while I sit on a stationary bike. How talented I am! Only made possible by an iPad of course. But here we go…
Things with my knee have much improved. Although I did have a bit of a setback last weekend when I thought it would be a good idea to wear heels to church. Naturally I’m impatient with the whole process (tomorrow marks week three since I dislocated my knee cap and I sincerely miss Body Pump and Insanity) but I am thankful that it …

Knee Dislocation Progress and Bodily Cravings

I got my shakeology t-shirt in the mail today! I LOVE the color. It’s a great shade of pink and I have both a white and a pink skirt I can wear it with this summer! And my knee seems to be healing nicely…

Injured Knee and a Vote of Confidence

Hello Everyone!
For those of you who follow my facebook page, you may have heard that this past Friday I dislocated my knee – which puts both of fitness goals on hold. I had just about made it through week two of Les Mills Pump, and had lost 2 pounds and increased the weight used in my exercises and thus built muscle. I had also increased my running mileage from a comfortable 2 miles to a comfortable 3.5-4 miles. Sadly I will not be able to do either in the foreseeable …

Is Moving Your Arms Really Necessary?

For my workout today, I did both the 55 minute Les Mills Pump Revolution video and a brief run with my husband. I can’t believe how sore my arms are. I have been doing these Les Mills videos regularly for only 1.5 weeks now, but today my arms are at a whole new level of soreness. Is it weird that I LOVE that? …

Today’s Workout Left Me Feeling Exerted

Today marked day 1, week 2 of Les Mills Pump. As I have indicated previously, I skipped the first phase of the program and started week 1 with phase 2 of the program. So today I did Les Mills Pump & Burn as well as a 3.5 mile run.

My Plans and Goals for Week 2 of Les Mills Pump

Things are going to be a bit tricky this week because I am going out of town this weekend for a wedding. YAY WEDDINGS! I am really excited to see my friend get married whom I have known since we were about 8 years old. She was at my wedding two summers ago and now I get to attend hers. YES it is the weekend before my finals – but dog-garnit – I am GOING to her wedding….

Preparing Early for Healthy Meals throughout the Week.

This weekend, I took a nice long study break and watched last week’s episode of Castle. Anyone else watch that? Anyways, while I took my break to watch this show, I set up my laptop on the kitchen counter, grabbed a cutting board, a knife, ziplock bags, and a large abundance of vegetables.

Monday Madness and My Review of Week 1 of Les Mills Pump

It is currently 7:40 am as I sit down to write this. In just 2 hour and 20 minutes, I will go to take my final ethics exam. I feel pretty good about it though. Hence me taking the time to reflect upon last week’s workouts: Week 1 of Les Mills Pump…

Shakeology Cleanse Review and Why I am Quitting on Day 2

So… day 1 of shakeology cleanse was great. I felt great. I looked great this morning. I had huge amounts of energy yesterday. I was in a great mood. And I did NOT feel hungry. I had an extremely productive day, and I even went for a run. I actually managed to consume 1200 calories of fruits, vegetables, and chicken – easily meeting my daily quota of protein, vitamins, and carbohydrates. But…
