Choosing a fitness program that is right for you
If you have read the about me section of my website, then you know that I came from a very unphysically fit background.
I didn’t grow up eating very healthy, and I didn’t grow up playing sports. That isn’t to say I didn’t spend anytime outdoors, I did. I used to climb trees with the neighborhood kids and sometimes ride our bikes. But mostly, I have always been pretty sedentary. In high school, the only sports I even tried to play was ultimate frisbee, which I mostly failed at. And in college, it wasn’t until my third year, that I found rock climbing, and even that was a short lived thrill, because when winter ended, so did the 5 dollar student rock climbing deal at a local gym there.
Needless to say, I have always really hated sports. And it took me a long time to find something I enjoyed. In graduate school, I enjoyed going to the gym when I could go with a friend. but while we were really good for a few months, our schedules never really aligned much after that. And my second (last year) of graduate school. I discovered running. Which I enjoyed. But both the gym and running became things I would do 3-4 times a week for a few weeks and then not at all for a few weeks. It simply didn’t stick.
I truly believe there is a fitness regimen out there for everyone. You just have to find it. Once I started working for time, I was never going to make it to the gym regularly. It just took too much time. It meant coming home, changing, heading back out, and finishing my day around 6:30 or 7:00. I hated it. And in my area of Chicago, its not safe to run before work and I have no energy after work.
So discovering Turbo Fire, was a life saver. I really enjoy cardio kickboxing and Chalene’s enthusiasm. And it is something I can do whenever I feel like it. Some days that means early in the morning. Somedays that means right when I get home from work. And sometimes that means a bit later in the evening. For me, it was the exercise that stuck. I finish my 90 days this weekend. And I am looking forward to a new adventure, with Brazil Butt Lifts.
For me, at home fitness is really the only way to make sure it happens. If you are like me, perhaps you would like to check out some of the best selling fitness programs on the market. In fact, Turbo Fire, Insanity, and p90x have consistently ranked in the best selling infommercials.
I hope that whatever fitness journey you take, that it is the right one for you, something you can commit to and enjoy. And I would be honored to be your coach, no matter what you choose. You can make me your coach for free here.
